In Marso a "Job" is used to track the status of a particular subject from capture to textures. Once your capture is complete, and you have a folder of RAW photography you are ready to process with Marso.
If your calibration image is in the same folder as the subject photography, move it to a different directory before continuing!
The top section of the Marso Window is used to create new jobs
Enter the required information:
Job Name: A descriptive name that will be used to identify the job throughout processing and once the results are ready.
RAW Images Folder: Specify the path to the folder containing the raw images for one subject.
RAW Images Extension: Select the image file format, if there are multiple in the input folder.
Light Selection: Choose the Light System. If you haven't already Create a Light System.
Click Create
to create the job
Once you have created a job it will show up in the Job List as NEW. The next step is to prepare the images for Photogrammetry.
This process will take the RAW images from the capture folder, and process them into JPEG or EXR images that should be used for photogrammetry.
It is vital that Marso generated photogrammetry images are used, to ensure consistency between the solved scene and the final textures.
Photogrammetry Images can be created for any job by selecting it, clicking Queue
and choosing the Develop
tab.
First, press Open Image
to preview a photogrammetry image, and adjust the brightness as required.
This will not affect the final textures produced by Marso, only the photogrammetry images.
Choose whether to export the images as EXR or JPEG. RealityCapture recommends JPEGs, unless you need to manually modify the image content e.g. masking. If you are modifying the images, ensure that the names are not changed.
Choose the Output Path where the photogrammetry images will be saved. N.B. This is different from the outputs folder in System Settings.
Click Queue in the configure dialog window. The Job will then be added to the Job Queue.
Click Start to begin processing all Jobs in the Job Queue.
Once the process completes the status of the Job will change to DO SOLVE
.
The photogrammetry images can then be accessed by clicking Images
, ready for import into your Photogrammetry app of choice
